MS HB13

Amends Section 27-19-56, Mississippi Code of 1972, to require that when there are more than four handicapped parking spaces on public or private property, at least one space must be designated and marked exclusively for ramp-equipped vans or vehicles.

Specifies that the dimensions of a van-reserved parking space shall be determined by the Mississippi Department of Transportation to accommodate the vehicle's needs.

Authorizes law enforcement officers to enforce the van-reserved parking space provisions under existing enforcement authority for handicapped parking violations.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
