House Bill 1318 Summary

• Reenacts sections 55-15-51 through 55-15-62 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 governing the Mississippi Veterans Monument Commission.

• Revises the advisory board for the Shiloh Confederate Memorial to include one House member appointed by the Speaker and one Senate member appointed by the Lieutenant Governor, plus three representatives from the Mississippi Department of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

• Increases the maximum state match for private or corporate donations to the Shiloh Confederate Memorial Trust Fund from an unspecified amount to $250,000 in the aggregate.
