Increases the maximum biennial permit fee for businesses engaged in prescription drug wholesale distribution and retail dispensing from an unspecified amount to Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).

Applies to facilities that manufacture, distribute, sell, or offer to sell prescription drugs in Mississippi, as well as reverse distributors conducting business with in-state pharmacies.

Requires all pharmacies and prescription drug businesses to register biennially with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy and obtain permits based on board-established classifications.

Permits are non-transferable and non-assignable, and businesses must report changes in ownership, management, location, or pharmacist in charge to the board.

Effective July 1, 2010.
