Amends Section 37-29-141, Mississippi Code of 1972, to authorize counties to levy additional taxes for community college districts.

Counties are authorized to levy an additional three (3) mills for support and three (3) mills for enlargement, improvement and repairs for each junior college within the district for any one fiscal year.

When a county levies millage in connection with borrowing or debt obligations by a community or junior college, the county cannot reduce the millage until the debt obligation is fully redeemed and paid.

Bill takes effect upon passage.
