MS HB1743

Authorizes Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors to negotiate with school districts on apportionment of fee-in-lieu payments for major capital projects that qualify under the Mississippi Major Economic Impact Act.

Allows the board to allocate fee-in-lieu amounts to school districts differently than amounts specified in Section 27-31-104, Mississippi Code, based on negotiated agreements.

Provides this negotiated allocation method as an alternative to the standard allocation method currently required by state law.

Applies only to companies constructing and locating major capital projects in Lauderdale County.

Takes effect upon passage.
