Amends Section 41-4-7 of Mississippi Code to revise qualifications for the Executive Director of the State Department of Mental Health

Requires the Executive Director to be a licensed physician with special interest and competence in psychiatry, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical and administrative psychiatry

Removes previously existing alternative qualification options, narrowing the requirements to only the physician-psychiatrist pathway

Salary for the Executive Director continues to be determined by the State Board of Mental Health

Effective date of January 1, 2011
