Allows insureds with auto liability policies covering 2 or more vehicles to elect single-limit, nonstacking uninsured motorist coverage for all vehicles under one coverage limit instead of per-vehicle coverage.

Single uninsured motorist coverage limit must be no less than the liability limits required under Mississippi Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Law for 2 vehicles combined.

Requires insurers to inform insureds on a Department of Insurance-approved form about the nonstacking limitation and that it is an alternative to stackable coverage, with signed acceptance binding all insured persons.

Once accepted, the nonstacking limitation carries forward to policy renewals and coverage extensions from the same insurer (including sister insurers in same holding company) unless the insured requests in writing to switch to stackable coverage.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
