Amends Section 97-3-7 of the Mississippi Code to require courts to forward copies of domestic violence conviction orders to the Department of Public Safety in addition to the Office of the Attorney General.

Applies to all convictions of assault (simple or aggravated) that arise from incidents of domestic violence and must include the designation "domestic violence" in the sentencing order.

Information forwarded to Department of Public Safety is designated for sentence enhancement and officer protection purposes.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
