Entities convicted of intentionally hiring or employing illegal aliens become ineligible to receive state or local financial incentives including bond proceeds, loans, grants, or other financial assistance.

Entities that received financial incentive funds prior to conviction must repay the full amount of those funds to the state or political subdivision upon conviction.

"Illegal alien" is defined as any person who is not a U.S. citizen, except those lawfully admitted for residence, employment, or other purposes under federal law or by the U.S. Attorney General.

Convictions must be obtained by a court of competent jurisdiction based on criminal charges of intentionally hiring or employing illegal aliens.

Effective date is July 1, 2010.
