Amends Section 97-37-7 of Mississippi Code to authorize county prosecutors and municipal prosecutors to carry weapons while performing their official duties.

County and municipal prosecutors must complete a weapons training course approved by the Board of Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training before being authorized to carry weapons.

Adds county prosecutors and municipal prosecutors to the list of officials authorized to carry pistols, firearms, or other suitable weapons, alongside district attorneys, judges, and other law enforcement personnel.

Effective date is July 1, 2010.
