Amends Section 27-19-56 of the Mississippi Code to require that where five or more handicapped parking spaces exist on public or private property, at least one space must be reserved and marked for ramp-equipped vans or vehicles.

The reserved ramp-equipped van parking space dimensions shall be determined by the Mississippi Department of Transportation to accommodate the specific needs of these vehicles.

Law enforcement officers authorized to enforce handicapped parking regulations are authorized to enforce the ramp-equipped van parking space requirements.

Effective date is July 1, 2010.
