MS HB541

Amends Section 1-1-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to require distribution of one set of the Mississippi Code to each full-time and part-time public defender in the state.

Adds public defenders to the existing list of state officials and entities entitled to receive complimentary copies of the Mississippi Code of 1972.

Maintains existing distribution requirements for other state officials, agencies, courts, and institutions while expanding eligibility to include public defenders.

Effective July 1, 2010.
