Amends Mississippi Code Section 25-11-109 to allow county and municipal election commissioners to receive creditable service in the Public Employees' Retirement System for their terms of office.

Removes the previous restriction that appointed or elected officials compensated on a per diem basis only could not accrue creditable service for terms of office, with an exception created for election commissioners.

Election commissioners are now treated as full-time employees for purposes of calculating creditable service credit toward retirement benefits.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
