MS HB70

Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-21-605 to authorize youth court judges to order parents or guardians of children age 16 or younger to perform community service along with the child when the child is adjudicated to the Statewide Juvenile Work Program.

Allows judges to consider parental participation in community service as part of disposition orders for juvenile delinquency cases.

Applies only to children 16 years of age or younger who have been adjudicated to a juvenile work program.

Effective July 1, 2010.
