Authorizes the Division of Tourism Development of the Mississippi Development Authority to develop a marketing plan promoting Mississippi's heritage, history and culture to attract tourists, conferences, performers, filmmakers and others for economic development statewide.

Requires the division to inventory assets related to Mississippi's heritage, history and culture and establish a statewide infrastructure offering structured tours of related sites and venues.

Directs the division to designate specific sites for trail markers related to Mississippi's heritage, history and culture, with authority to approve marker text and purchase markers; requires the Mississippi Department of Transportation to erect and maintain approved markers.

Mandates the division coordinate the trail program with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, Mississippi Authority for Educational Television, Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, and similar organizations to ensure comprehensive marketing of Mississippi's heritage story.

Requires coordination with existing state historic preservation programs to identify and preserve historic properties and prepare nominations for the National Register of Historic Places.
