Commends and congratulates the Our Lady Academy Crescents volleyball team for winning the 2009 Mississippi High School Activities Association Class I State Championship for the fourth consecutive year

Team achieved a 28-8 record in 2009, won their 10th consecutive Division 8 Championship, and captured the Class I State Championship six times in the last eight years

Senior Kirsty Schmitt set a state record with 515 kills in the 2009 season and became the all-time kills leader at Our Lady Academy with 1,201 career kills; also named Sun Herald Player of the Year

Head Coach Mike Meyers was named Coach of the Year by the Mississippi Association of Coaches, with assistant coaches Rick Rechtein and Steve Reboul
