Commends and congratulates the Our Lady Academy Girls Cross Country Team from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, and Coaches Darren Raybourn and Harry Hull for winning the 2009 MHSAA Class 2A State Championship on November 7, 2009.

Five team runners finished in the top ten at the state meet at Choctaw Trails and were named to the Class 2A All-State Team: Lindsay Raybourn (first place), Sofia Taconi (second place), Denise Powell (third place), Anna Taconi (fourth place), and Brittany Laurent (tenth place).

Team finished first place at the Gautier meet and recorded second place finishes at the East Central, St. Martin, George County, and Poplarville meets during the regular season.

Recognizes the team's dedication to training, which involved runners covering 25 to over 60 miles per week, beginning in spring 2008 and continuing through fall 2009, while many members balanced cross country with other sports and academic responsibilities.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Our Lady Academy, both coaches, and the Capitol Press Corps.
