Commends and congratulates John C. Poelma II for being selected as Instructor of the Year at the Jackson County Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Recognizes Mr. Poelma's 11 years of service as an Electronics Technology instructor at MGCCC and 14 years total teaching career, with educational credentials including a bachelor's degree from Park College and master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Acknowledges his memberships in the United States Air Force Reserve (First Sergeant, 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron), National Technical Honor Society, Mississippi Faculty Association, and Skills USA, as well as his community involvement with theater groups, Knights of Columbus, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Notes Mr. Poelma has received multiple honors including the Annual Community College Lamplighter Conference Award and Keesler Air Force Base Military Instructor of the Quarter Award.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to John C. Poelma II and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
