Commends and congratulates Cathy Chen of Oxford High School in Oxford, Mississippi for receiving the 2010 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement in Math, Science and Technology for Mississippi.

Recognizes the Siemens Foundation's annual contribution of more than $7,000,000 to educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering and math through various signature programs.

Acknowledges Siemens' significant presence in Mississippi with four locations and over 400 employees, and its premier science research program for high school students.

Affirms the Legislature's policy to recognize and commend academic excellence among Mississippi's youth as future contributors to the state and nation's global competitiveness.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Cathy Chen and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
