Commends the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association on its 33rd Annual Mid-Winter Conference titled "Alcornites Building A Better Future From Our Roots" to be held in Tunica, Mississippi, February 25-28, 2010.

Recognizes the alumni association's founding in 1890 and its 20,000 registered members' dedication to supporting the university and improving higher education quality in Mississippi.

Acknowledges Alcorn State University's history since 1871, including graduating the first African-American female to receive a college degree in the United States.

Notes the conference leadership includes James McDonald as President, James Stubbs as 1st Vice President, and James Hill, Sr. as 2nd Vice President.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Alcorn State University National Alumni Association and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
