Commends James Nathaniel "Jim" Brown for his athletic career as an NFL running back with the Cleveland Browns (1956-1965), noting he holds records for single-season rushing yards (1,863 in 1963), career rushing yards (12,312), and rushing touchdowns (106).

Acknowledges Brown's transition to Hollywood in 1966 and his use of his platform as a film star to promote positive social change and start businesses in Los Angeles.

Recognizes Brown's founding of the Amer-I-Can Program for Social Change in 1988, which created the Life Management Skills Curriculum (a 60-90 hour course) to combat gang violence and rehabilitate offenders.

Notes the Amer-I-Can Program has been taught in 16 states, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom in prisons, juvenile facilities, jails, high schools, and colleges since its 1988 inception, with Brown personally investing $300,000 to launch the program.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mr. Brown and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
