Calls on U.S. Congress to adopt a fair and effective approach to climate and energy supply issues that protects American jobs, ensures affordable energy, and maintains global competitiveness

Opposes EPA regulation of greenhouse gas emissions from stationary sources (manufacturing facilities, power plants, hospitals, commercial buildings) under the Clean Air Act

Warns that EPA regulations would overwhelm state agencies with an estimated six million permitting requests and could cause additional job losses beyond the four million lost in 2009

Urges Congress to postpone EPA's greenhouse gas regulations on stationary sources until a balanced legislative approach addressing climate and energy issues can be adopted

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to Mississippi's Congressional delegation and Capitol Press Corps
