Acknowledges and commends Mr. Arthur Lee Thomas of Indianola, Mississippi, on the occasion of his 70th birthday on March 20, 2010.

Recognizes his employment history including work with Ludlow Textile Company, the Indianola Police Department, Lewis Grocery Super-Valu Company, and current position as a school crossing guard with the Indianola School District.

Honors his active service as Chairman of the Board of Deacons and Sunday School Superintendent at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Notes his marriage to the Honorable Sara Richardson Thomas and his two sons, Kenneth and Edwin, along with his extended family of daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and siblings.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Mr. Thomas and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
