Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, Mississippi began operations in March 1960 and is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Economic contribution of the hospital grew from $114,000 in 1960 to $14,000,000 in 2010.

Hospital currently offers clinical services including cardiology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, CT scans, x-ray, lab work, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.

In 2001, Lawrence County Hospital was leased to Southwest Mississippi Medical Center, which restored the facility's financial stability.

House of Representatives congratulates Lawrence County Hospital and its staff, both past and present, for 50 years of service to the Lawrence County community and State of Mississippi.
