Amends Section 39-5-145 of the Mississippi Code to expand the use of Mississippi Community Heritage Preservation Grant Fund monies for the Jacinto Foundation, Inc., to include buildings and facilities near the courthouse in Jacinto, Mississippi, in addition to the courthouse itself.

The Jacinto Foundation, Inc. receives One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) in grant funds to pay costs of capital improvements, repairing, renovating, restoring, rehabilitating, preserving, furnishing and/or equipping the courthouse and related nearby facilities.

The fund continues to allocate and disburse monies to other designated projects including county courthouses, the Amory Regional Museum, the L.Q.C. Lamar Home in Oxford, the Queen City Hotel in Columbus, and the Old Wesson School.

The Department of Finance and Administration manages fund expenditures based on recommendations from the Board of Trustees of the Department of Archives and History.

The act takes effect July 1, 2010.
