Amends Section 97-37-7 of the Mississippi Code to allow county medical examiners and county medical examiner investigators to carry concealed weapons without a permit while performing their duties.

Authorizes these officials to carry pistols, firearms, or other suitable weapons upon completion of a weapons training course approved by the Board of Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training.

Adds county medical examiners and investigators to the list of officials who may carry weapons without requiring a separate concealed carry permit.

Effective July 1, 2010.
