Raises the minimum age of the offender for statutory rape from 18 to 20 years old when the victim is 14-15 years old and at least 48 months younger than the offender

Increases the age gap requirement from 36 months to 48 months between offender and victim for statutory rape charges involving 14-15 year old victims

Raises the minimum offender age for "gratification of lust" (sexual touching of a child under 16) from 18 to 20 years old

Brings forward without substantive changes numerous existing Mississippi statutes related to sex offender registration, sexual battery, child exploitation, prostitution, and obscenity laws for purposes of potential future amendment

Effective date of July 1, 2010
