MS SB2820

Amends Section 37-101-221 of the Mississippi Code to prohibit the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning from imposing in-state service commitments on health professional students receiving out-of-state instruction through Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) agreements.

Maintains existing authority for the board to provide instruction in graduate and professional schools for qualified Mississippi residents at institutions outside state boundaries when such instruction is unavailable in Mississippi.

Effective July 1, 2010.
