Amends Section 45-2-21 of Mississippi Code to redirect disability benefit payments from the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Disability Benefits Trust Fund to the injured officer's employing government entity as salary reimbursement rather than direct payment to the officer.

Maintains the existing disability benefit structure of 34% of regular base salary for law enforcement officers and fire fighters injured in the line of duty, payable for up to 12 months per injury.

Benefits remain supplemental to workers' compensation and limited to the difference between workers' compensation benefits and the officer's regular base salary.

The Attorney General's office continues to manage the trust fund and may expend up to 10% of trust fund monies for administration and management purposes.

Effective date of July 1, 2010.
