Public school districts may use local funds to pay 100% of health insurance premiums for retired Public Employees' Retirement System members employed as school bus drivers, with no state funds permitted.

If a school district chooses to pay premiums, it must pay the full 100% cost for all participating school bus drivers; partial payment is not allowed.

Amends Section 25-11-127 to allow any retiree, regardless of age, to work as a school bus driver for a public school district and simultaneously draw retirement benefits if annual compensation does not exceed $10,000.

Requires written notice to the retirement system executive director within 5 days of employment start and termination dates.

Effective July 1, 2010.
