Amends Section 19-5-355 of Mississippi Code to require certified emergency telecommunicators to complete 48 hours of continuing education every 3 years after obtaining initial certification.

Continuing education courses must be approved by the Board of Emergency Telecommunications Standards and Training.

The Board shall reimburse agencies for all expenses incurred in attendance at approved continuing education training programs.

Certifications are issued separately for law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical service telecommunicators.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
