Extends the application deadline from June 30, 1993 to June 30, 2010 for persons with 25 years of law enforcement experience (part-time, full-time, reserve, or auxiliary) seeking certification as a law enforcement officer without additional requirements.

Part-time officers with 25 years of experience who have already received part-time certification shall be automatically certified as a law enforcement officer as defined in Section 45-6-3(c).

Maintains existing requirements that part-time law enforcement officers meet essentially the same standards as full-time officers and complete approved training programs.

Preserves the board's authority to reprimand, suspend, or cancel certifications for cause, including administrative error, fraud, criminal convictions, malfeasance, or dismissal from employment.
