Amends Mississippi Code Section 47-5-138.1 regarding trusty earned time allowances for offenders in the Department of Corrections

Allows offenders in trusty status to earn 30 days reduction of sentence for each 30 days of participation in approved programs, including education, work projects, and special incentive programs

Excludes offenders convicted of drug trafficking under Section 41-29-139 from eligibility for trusty earned time reductions

Other offenders ineligible for trusty earned time include those sentenced to life imprisonment, habitual offenders, sex crime offenders, and those convicted of robbery, carjacking, or drive-by shooting with a deadly weapon who haven't served mandatory parole eligibility time
