Amends Section 63-3-519 of the Mississippi Code to authorize sheriffs to use radar speed detection equipment on public roads and highways under county board of supervisors jurisdiction that are located outside incorporated municipality limits.

Authorizes law enforcement officers of any size municipality to use radar speed detection equipment within their corporate limits.

Maintains existing authority for the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol to use radar statewide, with the exception that they cannot set up radar on highways within municipalities with populations exceeding 15,000 according to the latest federal census.

Maintains existing authority for college and university campus police forces with enrollment exceeding 2,000 students to use radar within campus confines.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
