MS SB3201

Allows Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors to negotiate and allocate fee-in-lieu payments to school districts differently than amounts specified in Section 27-31-104 when a company locates a major capital project in the county.

Applies only to companies qualifying as major economic impact projects under Section 57-75-5 of the Mississippi Code.

Requires negotiation between the board of supervisors and the school district where the project is located to determine the apportioned amount.

Establishes this negotiated allocation method as an alternative to the standard allocation methodology in Section 27-31-104.

Takes effect upon passage.
