Commends and congratulates Tito Echiburu of Morton, Mississippi, upon his induction into the 2009 Mississippi Tennis Association Hall of Fame.

Echiburu played on the Mississippi State University Men's Tennis Team and was one of four players chosen to represent MSU at the 1965 NCAA National Championship at UCLA when the team won the Southeastern Conference championship.

Inducted into the Mississippi State Athletic Hall of Fame in 1987 and held various Mississippi and Southern rankings from 1966-1990 in singles and doubles competition.

Achieved No. 1 Open Mixed Doubles Mississippi ranking in 1974 with partner Sandra Dabbs Rogers, and played doubles with John Rogers and Hugh Thompson.

Resolution directs that this commendation be presented to Echiburu, forwarded to the Mississippi Tennis Association, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
