Noah Robertson, an 8th grade student at Iuka Middle School, received the 2010 Prudential Spirit of Community Award as Mississippi's top middle level youth volunteer.

Robertson designed and implemented a comprehensive anti-bullying campaign including educational brochures, four performance skits, an audio/video slideshow, a student "no-bullying" contract, and anonymous reporting drop-boxes placed throughout the school.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award, now in its 15th year, is presented by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals to honor young volunteers demonstrating extraordinary commitment to community service.

Ten State Honorees (five middle-level and five high school students) will be named as America's top youth volunteers and receive $5,000 each, plus a total of $250,000 in children's products will be donated to needy children in their communities.

The Mississippi Legislature commends Robertson for his outstanding volunteer service and peer leadership, recognizing his contributions to his school and community.
