Acknowledges that American women have made critical economic, cultural, and social contributions throughout the nation's history as workers, volunteers, and founders of charitable and cultural institutions.

Notes that the 2010 Women's History Month theme is "Writing Women Back into History," highlighting how women's contributions have been historically overlooked in literature and historical teaching.

References the Legislature's 2001 establishment of the Mississippi Commission on the Status of Women to advise on policies affecting women in Mississippi.

Directs the Mississippi Commission on the Status of Women to observe appropriate programs and ceremonies and provide copies to the Capitol Press Corps.
