Bay St. Louis High School boys basketball team defeated crosstown rival St. Stanislaus 51-39 on March 5, 2010, to win the MHSAA Class 4A State Championship at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.

Daron Bell led the Tigers with 21 points as the team overcame a 26-16 deficit to outscore St. Stanislaus 35-13 in the final quarter, converting turnovers into transition points and making multiple 3-pointers.

Bay High's 34-3 record and first state championship came 52 years after the program's only previous state tournament appearance, representing significant achievement for a community still rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina.

Head Coach Kelton Thompson led the Tigers to victory over St. Stanislaus (coached by Jay Ladner, Thompson's former coach), with Bay High winning the final three meetings between the schools after St. Stanislaus won the first two regular season games.
