Recognizes and salutes Reverend Dr. John E. Cameron, Sr., for 40 years of inspirational leadership as Pastor of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi.

Honors a service celebration scheduled for March 14, 2010, with the theme "A Legacy of Leadership, Love, and Spiritual Guidance."

Acknowledges Reverend Cameron's extensive background including civil rights activism with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., voter registration campaigns, and civic involvement including a bid for U.S. Congress.

Notes his education at Rust College and American Baptist Theological Seminary, plus recognition in Who's Who in Black America and various community leadership honors.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Reverend Cameron and First Lady Lenora Cameron and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
