Commends Mississippi State University "Bulldogs" Men's Basketball Team and Coach Rick Stansbury for winning the SEC Western Division Championship by defeating South Carolina 76-63 on February 27, 2010, marking their fifth Western Division title in Stansbury's 12-year tenure.

Recognizes the team's achievement as the number 1 seed in the SEC Tournament and their subsequent appearance as a number 1 seed in the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) with a 23-11 overall record.

Honors senior forward Jarvis Varnado for being named unanimous SEC Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, first-team All-SEC, and All-Defensive Team selection, while maintaining 13.5 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Acknowledges sophomore point guard Dee Bost as a second-team All-SEC selection.

Directs that the resolution be forwarded to Coach Rick Stansbury, MSU President Mark Keenum, and the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
