Commends and congratulates the Kossuth High School "Aggies" boys cross country team for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 3A State Championship in 2009

Team compiled a 106-2 record under Head Coach Chris Butler and Assistant Coach Charla Essary, with only losses to Corinth High School and Randolph, Alabama High School; also won the state championship in 2007

Five Kossuth runners placed in the top seven finishers at the state meet, led by Casey Parks (Silver Medal, 17:46), Nick Thompson (Bronze Medal, 17:55), and Kyle Suitor (4th place, 18:12)

Four additional runners earned All-State Team honors: Connor Martin (5th place, 18:21), Andy McElyea (7th place, 18:23), Slater Smith (11th place, 18:37), and Jordan Peters (22nd place, 19:27)

Resolution directs presentation of commendation to coaches and principal, forwarding to the Alcorn County Board of Education, and distribution to Capitol Press Corps
