Honors United States Army Private First-Class William A. (Anthony) Blount of Petal, Mississippi, who was killed in action on April 7, 2010, in Mosul, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his patrol vehicle.

Recognizes Blount's service with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and his posthumous awards including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, and Mississippi Medal of Honor.

Acknowledges Blount's survivors including his wife Amanda, daughter Avery Elizabeth, parents Billy and Kay Blount, and siblings Laken Blount and Lori McRae.

Notes that at least 72 soldiers or sailors with strong Mississippi ties have died in action since operations began in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Directs the resolution be presented to Blount's surviving family and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
