Recognizes WTVA-TV Managing Editor/News Anchor Terry Smith and Chief Meteorologist Dick Rice for winning the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Silver Circle Award.

Silver Circle Award honors individuals with at least 25 years of experience in the television industry who have made significant contributions to both their profession and community.

Terry Smith has worked in broadcasting since age 16, joining WTVA in 1983 as an anchor/reporter and advancing to Managing Editor while remaining active in community organizations.

Dick Rice served 21 years in the U.S. Navy as a meteorologist before joining WTVA in 1979, where he advanced to Chief Meteorologist and Director of Weather Services while educating local schools.

Resolution directs that the recognition be presented to both individuals, forwarded to WTVA-TV's CEO, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
