Recognizes Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers, Inc. for strengthening families through education and community involvement across all Mississippi counties with over 2,000 members

Members contributed over $6.5 million in goods and services to Mississippi in 2009, working in conjunction with MSU Extension Service

MHV funded multiple community initiatives including $20,000 each to MSU Foundation for scholarships, Mississippi MD Association, and Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children; provides three annual scholarships and supports 4-H donations

Projects include donations to hospitals, hospice and veterans' care packages, child abuse awareness campaigns, healthy marriage initiatives, computer classes, and international relief clothing for Nicaragua

Resolution is to be presented to Kaye Bales, State President of Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers, Inc.
