Commends Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated for its public service mission since founding on January 13, 1913, by 22 college-educated African-American women.

Recognizes the sorority's national partnership with the United States Census Bureau and its "Don't Be Counted Out" campaign to encourage citizens to complete and return census forms.

Acknowledges the "2010 Statewide Delta Day at the Capitol" on March 4, 2010, which brings together alumnae chapters and college campus chapters from across Mississippi for political education forums focused on census participation.

Notes the organization has over 60 chapters throughout Mississippi and over 900 chapters internationally across the United States, England, Japan, Germany, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea.

Directs that this resolution be presented to state representatives of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
