Eliminates the requirement for disabled individuals to submit physician certification annually when renewing special handicapped parking license plates, allowing renewal without additional medical documentation.

Permits disabled persons and vehicle owners with disabled family members living with them to retain and renew special license plates annually upon compliance with motor vehicle registration laws and payment of required taxes and fees.

Applies to special license plates issued by the Department of Revenue through county tax collectors for up to two vehicles registered to eligible applicants.

Maintains the requirement for initial physician certification that the disability limits or impairs ability to walk and will persist for at least five years.

Effective July 1, 2011.
