Amends Mississippi Code sections 11-21-11, 11-21-27, and 11-21-73 to establish a right of first refusal for family members and co-owners in partition sales of real and personal property.

Grants remaining family members and co-owners the right of first refusal when courts order the sale of lands in partition proceedings.

Applies the right of first refusal to partition sales ordered when equal division cannot be made or when a sale better promotes the interests of all parties.

Effective date is July 1, 2011.
