Increases minimum prison sentence for DUI manslaughter and maiming from an unspecified term to not less than 10 years (up to 25 years maximum) per offense.

Applies to persons operating a motor vehicle in violation of DUI laws who negligently cause death or permanent disfigurement/disability to another person.

Each death, mutilation, disfigurement, or serious injury constitutes a separate felony conviction.

Requires persons charged with causing death under these circumstances to post bail before release after arrest.

Takes effect upon passage.
