Transfers primary authority for uniform traffic ticket standards from the State Auditor to the Commissioner of Public Safety, who will determine ticket form, content, number, and distribution.

Commissioner of Public Safety prescribes the number of ticket copies, working with the Attorney General on uniform design, with allowance for variations based on different law enforcement agency requirements.

Court clerks must file copies of traffic tickets with the Commissioner of Public Safety within 45 days after judgment (or 120 days if no judgment rendered) and report information required by the commissioner.

Allows law enforcement to file traffic tickets electronically if they conform to substantive requirements, with defendants receiving paper copies; electronic filing does not apply to Mississippi Implied Consent Law violations.

Establishes misdemeanor penalties of $10-$100 for failure to comply with ticket law provisions; effective July 1, 2011.
